I am sure you’re wondering what those rolled up sheets in the box are. These are 78,000 signatures of all of you, which I took with me to meet the Mayor of Kolkata last week.

While I had a very fruitful meeting with the Mayor, your support on my petition gave me so much courage. I am now working on the implementation plan for proper treatment and segregation of menstrual waste.

But, I still need more signatures. It will show the Mayor that people from other parts of India too want to see this change. Please share my petition with your friends and family, so that I know their names are also on one of the sheets in the box the next time I go and meet the mayor. 

We shall continue to work together till we see this change that we envisioned turn into a reality. I need your support more than anything.
