In this article, published in the Montecito Journal last year, PGI’s President/CEO totally misrepresents her “The Thread, LLC” Christian Ministry books— as she did on her own Website. She claims her books are ”Jungian Psychology and Pedagogy and Spirituality”, when they are really 100 percent fanatical Christian “testifying” and proselytizing about Jesus Christ. This hurts PGI’s brand as well as Depth Psychology. These lies hurt all students, faculty and alumni. Pacifica must hold its own President and Trustees to the high ethical, academic standards they expect of  students and faculty. Lying about the content of one’s books and PURPOSELY hiding the fact that they are non-academic, born again Christian conversion materials and NOT “Jungian” or “Pedagogy” is allegedly unethical and constitutes academic dishonesty!  Mattison is a public figure and is speaking publically. She also claims to have created PGI’s vision statement when there has been a vision statement for decades— it’s just not labelled as such. She takes credit for what the founders created. She also admits to illegal, discriminatory hiring practices in this article, excluding men from the application and hiring practice— it is not a positive example of diversity to brag about Pacifica only being a place where women mostly lead, attend or work! This is NOT “diversity”! Righting historic wrongs with more discrimination — with more wrongs—only perpetuates strife and harm to those left out, and the collective! The President and Board of Trustees violates EEOC laws by hiring only women, or Christians, or people from certain ethnic backgrounds, without fair advertising and hiring practices. They don’t even seem to know or care what the laws of our state and country are.

Please write to PGI’s Board with this article as proof, and demand she and they tell the truth about her “The Thread” Ministry materials, about EEOC violations in hiring based on gender and religion and fire her and those Board members who have condoned the kind of discrimination she brags about here as being her handiwork! She should be fired immediately for Academic Dishonesty!

Write to WSCUC accreditation Board, the CA Attorney General, the Board of Consumer Complaints. Contact media. If the Board of Trustees continues to condone this —behavior, they must be held accountable for participating in academic dishonesty! https://www.montecitojournal.net/2023/03/14/a-talk-with-leonie-h-mattison-pgis-ceo-and-president/
