Dear Liverpool fans,
It has just been announced that Igor Tudor was fired from Tottenham Hotspur. He was only intended as an interim manager, but with Spurs only a point above the relegation zone with seven games remaining, the Spurs board has decided to take drastic action. Tudor leaves Spurs with only one point out of a possible fifteen won. The source of the one point?
Against Liverpool FC, at Anfield.
The mere fact that such a lackluster, short-staffed, disastrous Spurs side managed to come away from fortress Anfield with a point is an embarrassment within itself. The fact that said Spurs side fired their manager immediately, while Liverpool still struggle and suffer under Arne Slot, is even more humiliating.
Because, even after finishing 17th last year and firing a manager once this season, the Spurs owners still have higher standards than Liverpool's owners.
For a club that won the Champions League 6 times and the domestic league 20 times, this is unacceptable. We cannot and should not take this disrespect sitting down.
The public tide of Liverpool fans are passively saying that Slot should be fired. Turn that passivity into activity. Sign petitions like this one, carry "Slot Out" banners to home and away games, and express your discontent where it can be seen and heard by the Liverpool board. Because, as things stand, a team fighting relegation is showing higher standards than us.
