Today marks exactly 979 days since Jared went missing.

That is 979 days without a response from decision-makers, and 979 days of an investigation stalled by state lines.

While we continue to fight the frustrating silence from local agencies, we want to share a piece of comfort with everyone who loves Jared. As many of you know, Jared's two dogs were found with his abandoned truck near the Wabash River in Indiana. We are so grateful to share that both of his dogs are doing good and are safe at home with Jared's parents. They are a constant reminder of Jared's love, and having them home brings comfort to his family as the search continues.

But Jared is still not home. Because his timeline spans Louisiana, Illinois, and Indiana, local rural departments simply do not have the cross-border jurisdiction to solve this.
979 days is far too long. We need the FBI or U.S. Marshals to take over.

How you can help break the silence today:

  1. Share this milestone. Post this update to your social media using #FindingJaredMcColloch and #979Days.
  2. Call for federal intervention. Contact the Knox County Sheriff's Office at 812-882-7660 and respectfully demand that they officially invite federal agencies to lead the case.
  3. Report any tips. If you saw anything in Illinois or Indiana around his disappearance, call or text our anonymous family tip line at 618-367-1828. You can also mail tips to P.O. Box 142, Marion, LA 71260

Thank you for standing with Jared's family and his faithful pups for 979 days. We won't stop until we have answers.
