This petition — with 39,000+ verified signatories and 2,500 comments — has been printed and professionally bound (names withheld for privacy but fully verifiable via Change.org). Today, Saturday 24 January 2026, at the Hobart rally marking 17 years since Bob Chappell went missing, we are demanding a Commission of Inquiry into the circumstances of his death and the wrongful conviction of Sue Neill-Fraser, who spent 13+ years in prison and remains on parole.
As one of the speakers, I will be handing this petition to Meg Webb MLC to ensure it reaches the Tasmanian Attorney-General and key decision-makers — it’s time for accountability, truth, and a thorough investigation into who killed Bob and why Sue was wrongfully convicted.
Thank you to everyone who has signed! Please share and encourage others to sign so we can take this to 50,000+ and help restore justice in Tasmania. I started this petition in July 2013, and it will continue until there is a proper Independent Commission of Inquiry and Sue Neill-Fraser is fully exonerated.
