Hi All,

As many of you are likely aware, President Trump signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 (H.R. 133) into law on December 27th, 2020.  Unfortunately, this bill relies on the same definition (Child Tax Credit) for qualifying dependents as the last COVID relief package, which means dependents 17-years-old or older will not receive a stimulus check.  While this is troubling, I am happy to see that this issue is receiving much more coverage from media than it was several months ago.

It has been a crazy year, and I want to thank all of you for helping bring attention to this issue.  I'm not sure if there will be more relief packages, but helping make people aware of this problem so they can file their taxes accordingly is reason enough to promote this petition and others like it.
