As a Filemaker Developer I make solutions for ordinary office people, streamline and automate certain tasks. Filemaker is the perfect tool for this. As a small business owner myself, helping small businesses, price and budget are often the number one priority and is a deal breaker in a potential sale.

Creating a Filemaker Solution is very different than using one, and therefor, I feel, there should be different licenses for people who create/edit/manage the database, and the ones simply using it.

None of my customers ever took their Filemaker Pro out of Browse mode into Layout mode. Not even one. My petition therefor is the following:

I want to be able to buy a Filemaker Pro Layout-less License, for ordinary office staff, for small business owners on a budget. They will buy one full license to put on a server, where I would make changes if needed. And on all other office PCs the Layout-less version, for - well you guessed it - browse/find/preview use only. Suggested price between $49-$99.
