This is all the families have left of their precious dogs. The heart of the family one minute and then snatched to an unknown future. Can you imagine the fear, alarm or distress to the pet and owners?
If it was compulsory for the veterinary professionalsto scan and check microchip registration on original microchip database at pets 1st consultation and on annual checkup, so many missing dogs and cats would be reunited. Rescues must also cross check hand-ins and seized dogs. This is common sense and something that is assumed to be happening already.
