Update on Fern:  “She's doing so so well following her spay on Friday. She's healing really well, her scar looks lovely and healthy.

The biggest thing we are struggling with is a bit of shake in trust. Perhaps the pain? Perhaps that we left her? Perhaps she's just going in to self preservation but she's much more jumpy than ever before. Loud noises in our home hadn't worried her before during the day but she's now shooting out of the room. When she's scared she's not coming to me for comfort anymore. She's cowering in a submissive pose,belly up and eyes half shut.

Breaks my heart.�

It's early days but we have some rebuilding of trust to do. Once she can fully get back to family life, running around and feeling tip top, I know she will come round and be the happy, bouncy girl I was getting used to.

She has definitely felt pain. She has definitely been handled roughly. She's been used as a commodity and dumped.

Makes me so so angry and so so sad.

She belonged here, with us!

Don't get me wrong, I'm so thankful I have her home, however many years were stolen but I can't stop thinking about all those other dogs and cats out there who just don't understand what's happening and where their humans are.

The trust has broken as soon as they vanish.

They can't know you're searching.

Please please please . Take 5 minutes to sign and share our petition. So many out there who just want to get home. It may not find them all.

There's still work to do on the horrific crime that is pet theft..but it might help 1, maybe 2, maybe 3...that's worth 5 minutes of your time isn't it?

I know I'm preaching to the converted with you guys but there's a lot of people who wouldn't think of it as everyone assumes the microchip system is working for us and not against us.
