At Kalaheo, numerous girls have been sent to the health room, sent home and taken out of their classes because they’re not wearing bras. This is demeaning towards girls because our breasts should not be offensive or distracting. If boys or anyone else are distracted by our bodies and/or make foul comments about us, they should be the ones to get in trouble because having our bodies judged and picked at is MAKING US FEEL UNSAFE AT SCHOOL. We are taken out of class to change clothes, and yet our bodies are the ones being “distracting of education”? Why is our education being affected by the decision to not wear a bra?
