According to a recent report in the Independent, millions of songbirds, including Britain's favourite robin, are being accidentally vacuumed up during night-time olive harvesting in Andalusia. Momentarily blinded by the dazzling harvester headlights, the birds fly the wrong way. We call on Federico Trillo-Figueroa, the Spanish Ambassador to alert Pedro Sanchez, the Spanish Prime Minister to outlaw night-time harvesting of olives so that songbirds don't get accidentally killed.
