UP FOR DEBATE
2 Aug 2015
We can say as of today that a debate on women’s rights- the first of its kind since 1984- will take place before voters go to the polls in October! We have confirmation that the Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, Justin Trudeau, will participate in the debate. At this time, he joins commitments by the Leader of New Democratic Party, Tom Mulcair, and Green Party Leader, Elizabeth May. We hope that Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and the Leader of the Bloc Québécois, Gilles Duceppe, will choose to join this important discussion – but we have to make sure that they know this debate matters to their supporters! Issues that affect women affect us all and it is time that they are front and centre during an election! PLEASE RETWEET THIS MESSAGE SO THAT PARTIES KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THIS DEBATE IS: https://twitter.com/UpforDebate2015/status/627990259930894336 The Liberals agreed because so many people like you spoke out for the need for this debate. Keep speaking up and we'll get all parties on board!
