Right now, there are thousands of listings of used medical equipment on auction sites that was originally paid for using Medicare and Medicaid Federal and State funding. Meanwhile, thousands of people in desperate need are on waiver waiting list in hopes of obtaining a grant to purchase needed equipment.
Why should the tax payer pay over and over again when this equipment could be donated back to serve a person in need? Why should someone profit off what our tax dollars paid for?
Thousands of people would benefit from this equipment. It is sad to see a family struggle to put their loved one in a vehicle while someone sold a Federally Funded lift car seat or van lift for $3000.00 profit. No person should profit from selling equipment that belongs to taxpayers. Please sign this petition , show our most precious citizens who are desperate for equipment that you care and save millions of taxpayer dollars.
