Petition updateFDA: Warn women about health risks from breast implantsTHE FDA WANTS TO HEAR FROM YOU!

This is ground breaking progress for Women’s Health. The FDA announced their proposal to add a BLACK BOX warning on ALL breast implants. Now, they want your input on their Breast Implant Comments page!

The proposed draft of the FDA Patient Decision Checklist would include health risks and a list of implant ingredients like acetone (used in nail polish remover) that can off-gas or leach into surrounding tissue.

This is the kind of information I never received when diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. Today, women are demanding full disclosure and the FDA is listening.

Let the FDA know that you support warnings and checklists that describe the risks associated with breast implants, but make the final checklist more explicit and easier for patients and doctors to discuss and sign. We worked with patients, advocates, researchers and physicians to create the BREAST IMPLANT WORKING GROUP Checklist

We'll be taking your signatures with us to Washington in December!  So, please forward this Change.org petition and take a minute to post your comments on the FDA Breast Implant Comments page.

Thank you for making a difference in the future of women’s health,  Renee Ridgeley
