NDA and new petition!

Hi everybody, Sorry for this late update! Many of you will have heard that the FDA has accepted the NDA for Eteplirsen- this is amazing news and everybody who helped to make this happen should be very proud! For more info, please see: http://www.raredr.com/news/fda-accepts-sareptas-nda-for-eteplirsen There’s a lot more work to be done for those with Duchenne for whom exon skipping treatments won’t come soon enough, or for those not amenable to exon skipping, but this should still be celebrated! In the meantime, I’ve started a petition which I thought many of the signers of this petition (especially the Duchenne community) might be interested in- or at least interested in helping! It’s a petition about access and is aimed at Disney World; I believe that all disabled kids (and adults!) should be allowed to experience the magic of Disney, and should be allowed to use the toilet while they are there! The toilet facilities at the parks work just fine for lots of people, but there are many who cannot access them- maybe some people that you know- and I really think that we can help them!
