On Saturday the 4 December 2021 the UK government  announced that Nigeria would be placed on the Covid-19 red list, with the resulting effect that Uk citizens had less than 48 hours to prepare for the multiple negative impact, disruption and the financial implications of the governments inconsiderate knee jerk reaction to the situation.

Effectively, the government implemented the measures with less than 48 hours notice to UK citizens, but will take sixteen days from the date it first announced the unfair and unreasonable measures to ‘review’ its decision.
