Dear Friends of Markham Hill,

Our next meeting for the Friends of Markham Hill will be Wednesday Sept 12 from 6-7 at my house 1663 W Halsell Rd in Fayetteville. Please email me at lisa_m_orton@yahoo.com if you plan to attend.

When my driveway fills up, you can park across the street at Rob and Nee Karas' house (1666) or next door at my brother Bill's house (1641).

We have a battle plan to discuss for when we appear at the City Council meeting about Markham Hill. Council member Kyle Smith will let us know the date, but it will be a 1st or 3rd Tuesday.

We are the underdog in this battle, but we still can win. Be thinking about the topic you would like to talk about for 2-3 minutes at the City Council podium (if you want to speak).

Our goals for the City Council:

(1) Make no change to the current PZD and do not rezone the RSF-4.

(2) Secure and protect all of the 144 acres of Markham Hill in a conservation easement so we can make it a nature and wildlife preserve in honor of Joy Markham and Evangeline Archer.
