Hello, everyone!

Today I want to introduce you to my story, Caput Mortuum. It was inspired by vivid, charismatic artists: Marilyn Manson, Ville Valo, Michael Jackson!

The year is 2665. The planet Neon Noir is swallowed by black and white. People suffer from the absence of color and emotion. The elite rule over the poor caste and dictate their laws.

Only artists can create with colored paints. But the price of color is far too high: a human life.

Diana is an artist by day and, by night, a monster hunting for a “special” color. She is searching for the one thing that will let her create a true MASTERPIECE.

And she finds it.

It is Caput Mortuum, a pigment once made from Egyptian mummies. Cursed, legendary, vanished back in 1964. 

But Diana is not the only one searching for it…

Why this petition?

I want to send my Fantasy book as an expression of deep gratitude to the artists whose work gave me this world: Marilyn Manson ,Ville Valo.

Michael Jackson is no longer with us. May his soul find peace. So the book may be addressed to his nephew, Jaafar Jackson, who portrayed his uncle so movingly. It is a tribute to Michael’s memory, because the story was inspired by him.

 

If you are not a fan of these artists but love gothic fiction, fantasy, horror, adventure, and unusual stories, I would be glad to have you among the signers.

Darkness desires absolute power.

Only one extraordinary girl can find the pigment - Diana.

But in her hunt for the legendary color, she discovers something far greater.

Something she never expected.

Mephisto Noctris, Crown Prince of the Neon Noir World, opens the doors to everything forbidden and extraordinary. Without realizing it himself, he becomes the key to unlocking the mystery of the pigment.

But the Prince of Death is already waiting for the huntress of colors.

For he has chosen her as his Bride.

Caput Mortuum holds something far greater than the history of this world. It is a color capable of returning to monochrome humanity the one thing they desire above all else.

Perhaps that is why the Dark Prince seeks it so relentlessly.

But are people willing to pay the highest price imaginable for color -with their lives and their souls?

Raven, Mr. Diamond — the King of Ravens and the narrator of the story. Diana’s best friend, who knows more than anyone else.

Singing his cinematic songs to the Moon, he dreams of only one thing… something he cannot bring himself to admit, even in his darkest nightmares…

Diana puts on her “knight’s” armor once again.

The hunt begins.

You can read and download the very first version of the book at the links below. It is the early version from 2015, when the project was called Legend Epos V. Only later did I find the courage to write the full novel, the first part of a series: sleepless nights and endless research into Egyptian history and pigments that I wanted to weave into the story.
