Kristin's Story Just Made the News — Now Let's Make It Matter
Something significant happened today.
The Finger Lakes Daily News published a story about Kristin O'Connell's case — and about the GoFundMe her mother Phyllis has launched to fund advanced DNA testing. Investigators pursued more than 2,000 leads over four decades without ever making an arrest. Today, for the first time, modern forensic technology offers a real chance at a breakthrough.
Phyllis wrote: "Today, I have more hope than I've had in a very long time. Evidence from Kristin's case has been carefully preserved and is now ready for advanced DNA testing. This technology wasn't available in 1985, but today it has the potential to uncover answers that have remained hidden for decades."
Media attention matters — but it only counts if it leads to action.
If you've signed this petition, you already believe Kristin deserves justice. Now there's something more you can do. Phyllis is raising $10,000 to fund the first step of DNA testing. Every dollar moves this forward. If you can't donate, please share the GoFundMe link with everyone you know.

As Phyllis said: "I promised Kristin I would never stop fighting for her."
Neither will we.
