Mission: Motivated Empowered Arts & STEM Public Charter School will provide an integrated educational system of high standards to engage all students in an academically rigorous core curricula, promoting a strong foundation in the arts, sciences, technologies, engineering and math, relevant to real-world contexts, and building on student character and community assets to prepare students for successful postsecondary endeavors.

What: This school addresses the need in Charles County to offer school choice, and to give families an option to select a school for their children without the expense of private school tuition. Motivated Empowered Arts & STEM Public Charter School (MEAS PCS) is committed to providing the benefits of diversity within our school learning community, and therefore seeks to create a student body that reflects the economic and ethnic composition of Charles’s County and includes nineteen percent minority students and twenty percent students whose families meet the criteria for free or reduced cost lunch.

When: School Year 2022-2023 is the target startup year for the school.

How: With the support of the community, parents, elected officials, local businesses and students backing our efforts to have high-quality education choices in Charles County.

Where: The old Sears building at St. Charles Mall.
