🫵🏼Thank You to the extra 110+ signatures of support last week. We extremely appreciate your support. The Petition currently is sitting at 1,112 verified signatures! 

✍🏼We have been “flooded” with comments of support and thought it’s important to share some of these comments.

💪Thanks Julie Ann 🙏 for taking the time to express your personal connection with Professor Teo. 

It’s factual stories like yours that make a significant difference. Many patients move on to live a happy life, away from a traumatic experience they encounter (Brain Surgery in itself is traumatic enough). But it’s voices like yours that carry the importance of Professor Teo’s work. 🙏

From being provided a timeline of 3-6 months, then to be here 7 years later is such a miracle. ☝️❤️

The most IMPORTANT aspect of teaching surgical techniques, funding research, mixed with new AI technology, is to increase life expectancy. To do this patients and their families have to take that “leap of faith” to.

It’s not an easy decision, we thoroughly weigh up EVERY scenario in our heads and heart 💜 . We hope, you yourself will never have to weigh up such a decision.

✋Just because we have a Brain Tumour doesn’t give the Neurosurgery sector the right to not provide accurate and thorough second opinions.

First Nations & Australians are not privy to the “secret” database kept on Brain Tumour Clients. We blindly source a second opinion with the belief that we will be heard and that the new NeuroSurgeon is a second set of eyes and expertise. 🛑Not eyes manipulated by comments or advice from previous Neurosurgeon. 

👂We listen to the risks, we talk to our families and support networks. We research. We google. We talk to others. 

🛑If ANYTHING we over consult. Just because of the extra and unwarranted  “fear” embedded in our brains by other Neurosurgeons.

❓Think about the confusion already. 

📰 We have many documented cases where some patients listened to the “fear mongering”, the “inaccurate assumptions”, the “judging of Professor Teo” and most of all many heard the “personal” attacks. Not professional. With no evidence provided. Promises made and never delivered. Medical Gaslighting at its FINEST. Patients giving up the fight. Getting tired. Many PERSONAL opinions in a medical field where “Personal” opinions should not exist…… only FACTS and our MEDICAL RIGHTS matter! 

✊Just because Australia introduced Medicare and Universal Medical system that is no longer free. A Medical system where “innovation” doesn’t exist unless your “in the pack”. It’s a medical field full of bullying and gaslighting. Neurosurgeons, Registrars, Nurses but most appalling is the evident Bullying of the Patient and their families after seeking an opinion from Professor Teo. 

Patients start to think….. are they ignoring me post operatively because I don’t matter, did I do something wrong, why? 

✔️We ask! When will the Neurosurgery sector receive the support for up and coming Surgeons. When will innovation be implemented rather than the status quo. When will the funding change. 1-2% just isn’t enough. Why are children as young at 7 with a deadly disease, having to advocate for funding while fighting their own battle. Why are these families not being supported by Medicare on Australian soil. Why do families not have options when the research supports new and emerging techniques, immune therapy and technology. Why are Doctor’s trialling treatment on themselves when diagnosed? Why are Australians now behind while other Countries are making strides regarding knowledge, surgical techniques, genome sequencing and Immune therapy. Why are children waiting for trials to only find out their condition has progressed to far to take part.❓

❓Why are we waiting while Adults in the prime of their lives are loosing their battle 8-9 times out of 10. Why are we leaving these children behind?………

👥Let’s combine or Voices and ask the Australian Government, our Chief Medical Officer, Health Ministers, Local Ministers,  Brain Cancer Lobby Groups, Hospital Boards, other Neurosurgeons, Funding Bodies for Research 🔬Discuss tge lack of funding allocation to thinking outside the box, Discuss the urgency with the Insurance agencies to not be extremely risk adverse, discuss the option to take part in EMT Group Meetings and most of all be inclusive of Professor Teo’s outcomes, research and 👂 hear the PATIENTS- don’t just listen and turn the other way  🙏

Australians are begging for change. 
Australians want access to options. 
Australians want Neurosurgeons to stand by their oath of “Doing no harm”. 
Australians are on their knees, begging for local support by someone who listens and explains the facts. 
Australians want “statistical” change, not placed in the to hard basket or under watch and wait while dwindling.
Australians need the Government to listen to us, it’s our lives, it’s our choice. The only thing your doing is increasing the risk as Patients will ALWAYS seek Professor Teo’s Surgical expertise. IT’s KEY HOLE Brain Surgery who wouldn’t???  Stop ✋ listening to the people with hidden agendas, personal or profitable needs, those Neurosurgeons with the inability to implement change, look into worldwide research, drop an ego and don’t want to undertake Key Hole Brain Surgery techniques to help ease recovery and reduce negative post operative outcomes.
