Thank you so much for signing, sharing, and/or donating so that this petition can continue to be shared.
Summertime can be the cruelest time for sled dogs who are chained in the blistering sun, many with little to no shade. Dogs can suffer from dehydration and heat stroke, which can lead to death.
The Fairmont hotel chain has committed to conducting a "deep dive" into their practice of offering dog sled rides to guests through third-party establishments. We recently reached out to Executives at the hotel to inform them that over 30,000 people had signed the petition, and to ask if they had made the decision to move away from this practice.
We did not hear back.
Your help is needed. If you are able to, please write to the three key Executives (contact information below) using your own words or the suggested text below:
"Dear Mr. Resch, Mr. Connor, and Ms. Bachand,
It has been brought to my attention that you offer dog sled rides at multiple Fairmont hotels. I do not support the use of animals for entertainment, and request that you end your agreements with sled dog operators. I will not stay at Fairmont hotels until this change has been made.
Thank you,
Your name"
