My children work hard for their cords. They put in extra time, extra effort, community services, etc. They deserve to be proud of their work. They deserve to show off! If kids get jealous, they could have put forth the same efforts. Don't deprive the kids! Fairfax County should fade out cords if they want to stop the practice. This year's freshmen should be the last class....that way, the middle schools have not started working for the cords and the kids all expect it. I bet you would see more kids receiving these cords over the next 3 years. PLEASE SIGN THIS TO ALLOW GRADUATES TO WEAR THEIR CORDS!!!
