Nov 18, 2016 Lee Manuel Paulino went missing. Dec 1, 2016 his body was found by a river decapitated. He was last seen on surveillance video with at the time 15 year old Mathew Borges. Mathew told police they went out to smoke weed. Now a lot of this case doesn’t make sense. Lee’s head and hands were removed from his body and he was stabbed 76 times. When this case first came out in 2016 it took the autopsy report a whole year to be released. When his body was found his father went to the crime scene while police were there and took evidence; a sweater. No one said anything. Mind you his dad fled to Puerto Rico and a few months later was killed over there. All of Lee’s family has left the area of Lawrence. His grandparents are the only ones that have been there. Not even his mom has been over here since the trial has started, she’s been in Dominican Republic. Nov 18 Lee was supposedly lured out of the house so a bunch of teens go and rob his house while his grandparents were in a downstairs apartment, Lee left his house by 4:45-5pm without his phone or wallet. Because Mathew was last seen with Lee he’s automatically a suspect. Mathew supposedly told “friends” on a phone call “he’s dead”. I’m not about to write all details, this entire case is online. But this is my thing, they have no DNA, no evidence, the witnesses they have are the same witnesses that lied to police in the beginning when they were asked about Lee’s disappearance. From Nov 18- Dec 1 they knew something supposedly happened to Lee and never spoke out on it, never attempted to make an anonymous phone call to police. When Mathew was asked by police to show him where he and Lee went to smoke they said it was a mile away from where the body was found. Like what if Mat really did just go and smoke with him and left Lee there and someone else killed him. This trial does not have enough supporting details. Oh and the “motive” that the court pulled out of their ass was jealousy. There is a lot we still don’t know. There needs to be a retrial Mathew either didn’t do this and is taking the fault or he didn’t do it alone.
