To everyone who has supported this petition by signing, sharing, and donating, thank you very very much. This started out with 5 supporters now there's almost 800!
I feel very strongly, as I'm sure many of you do, about how unfair it is to have nursing students work full-time in their consolidation and have classes and assignments plus tuition fees, living expenses, hospital parking and commute. It's all too much. We take our role seriously as students to be safe and competent and join the healthcare team to help people and reduce the shortage. But it seems that hospitals and the institution that implements these rules for placement only cares about saving money. I've had to repeat my consolidation so everything is doubled.
Our physical, mental, and emotional labour is being taken advantage of and I've had enough. I want nursing students that are entering the field to know that they are supported. It's a high hope, but I hope that our voices can grow and reach more people and eventually be used to ask for change. It will probably take a long time, but I'm hopeful! Stay hopeful with me.
Again, thank you so much. Keep sharing with friends and family! Write your own petition, the more of this issue we can put out there, the better!
