"For those of you who may be wondering, the Trotskyist fb discussion group I helped to administer was "zucced" (deactivated by fb administrators) yesterday morning on the grounds that it violated "community standards." The group had never received any violations prior to this sudden deactivation. I have appealed this decision and hope that it is the result of an error in their algorithm. I have yet to hear back, but it may be a sign of things to come on this platform. Since this particular group was only around 300 participants, it would be low-hanging fruit in any process of beginning to depoliticize fb.

Let this also be a reminder: this platform is private property owned by incredibly wealthy capitalists and administered by those capitalists' lackeys. It can be useful in some ways, but we should always be prepared to see it disappear.
