I recently created a group called Atheists, Leftists and Communists who Oppose "New Atheism". Within an hour of creating my group facebook seems to be clamping down. It seems I can no longer access the group from my main account on my lap top. Fortunately, I have several back-up accounts and I can access it from their as well as on my main account from my ipod and blackberry. Perhaps I am reading into this and this is a computer glitches. But given Zuckerberg and Co.'s history of censoring Leftists, Pro-Palestinians, Anti-Racist activists and comrade Steven Argue among others, I would not be surprised if this is a deliberate attempt by Zuckerberg to make things difficult for my (and others) on facebook. I have been a vocal critic of Zuckerberg's censorship for years so I would not be surprised if Zuckerberg sees my petition as a threat. On the plus side, it is a clear sign that this petition and the political activity of myself, Steven Argue and countless others is leaving a mark. Noam Chomsky, who I have many disagreements with, once said that if those in power aren't threatened by you they ignore you. If they are threatened however they will try to silence you. I for one want go down without a fight.
