As you will all be aware AHAR has again come under a prolonged attack these past couple of months. Our supporters are now being messaged privately with the objective of trying to stop donations of food and much needed funding to continue to support the animals we have in our care, not to mention the future animals that will need the umbrella of our shelter. The more statements we provide that dampens their flames the angrier they get and the more outrageous and sensational their stories become, from those we trusted who had a personal gain to be at AHAR be it wages or gainful dishonesty behind our backs ever before the latest dramatic instalment to discredit AHAR, my team, my vets, our inspectors, our wardens and especially myself.
These self-righteous haters created all these complaints with the help of misleading 'inside' information injecting these inspections on us and when they didn't get their desired result from the professionals they sought, they then turned and personally attacked these very people. We can see by your hundreds of supportive messages and emails that you are seeing this is very much a personal campaign against, and to remove, tarnish and discredit me, the creator of AHAR, in a bid to take over as they have now publicly stated. This after four years of the pretence of being about animal welfare and concerns stating they could run AHAR from their keyboards. We know this not to be true, as rescue means working 24/7 all year round, giving up any chance of a normal life in the hope to save as many animals as you can in your lifetime. Our days work may look easy and inviting from the outside but anyone who has been here will know that is not the case. I never chose to have commitments other than animal rescue, which has left me free to devote my life to my cause. At the end of the day rescuers are normal people trying to make a difference in an often cruel and heartless world for all living creatures.
Where does this leave your AHAR now?
Of course donations have been directly affected. Many of you have reported getting private messages encouraging you not to donate. Thank you for coming forward to let us know, sending screen shots and also to say we have your continued support for the animals, who are the real victims in all this. They are still here depending on you to support and adopt them.
At this moment, AHAR needs its army now if we are to continue.
To lift AHAR forward first we need to raise the funds to pay the existing bills we are left with.
We owe Kellihers 1,700 eu for supplies and we are chipping away at it but of course needing new supplies each week too. The bill keeps rising.
We have outstanding vet bills of 9,000 eu that we also have been chipping away at but we use our vets on a daily basis and we have been finding it so hard to catch up.
We also will need a delivery of hay and straw next week that we will have to fundraise for as well.
Our dog transporter was parked up as we could not afford to sort the engine get it tested and insured. We are lost without it and really need to put it back on the road. We have secured a garage to do so and they kindly offered us a discount in our time of need.
Then there is the every day running costs of AHAR that normally we can keep on top of like ESB, diesel, insurance, waste disposal and wages.
Normally we ask you to save animals. Now can we ask you this time to save AHAR?
All we can give you in return is a promise to continue our work that you have always loved, even on the heart breaking days when we have all been reduced to tears but our tears then dried by updates. We can not save them all but we can never give up trying.
Love Suzanne and all at AHAR.
