In a Facebook group of which I am a member, the moderator alerted us to a horridly-Anti-Semitic picture which Facebook refuses to remove: the picture was an altered photo of Holocaust victims and/or survivors holding Anti-Semitic signs. Most of us decided to report the page in general. Just a few minutes ago alone, I saw that Facebook had done to me what it did to everyone else: refused to remove the page once again: - "Facebook reviewed and did NOT remove it. It didn't violate their community standards. Disgusting." - " The usual response - Thank you for taking the time to report something that you feel may violate our Community Standards. Reports like yours are an important part of making Facebook a safe and welcoming environment. We reviewed the photo you reported for harassment and found it doesn't violate our Community Standards." - "In addition to reporting it as religious hatred which resulted in exactly nothing, I followed the complaint process..." These are all from just yesterday. Sadly, someone stated the following: "Done. Don't be discouraged by the message....Its a standard robot response. Once they get enough complaints you get a further message to say they reviewed and removed it." She's being generous or naive. The message is not robotic. Facebook is now, as I've aforementioned, trying to cover themselves with, "We take reports very seriously. Before sending your report, please make sure you've read our Community Standards."
