Facebook's review policies lack transparency and are too easily exploited by malicious users trying to "silence" content they may disagree with; even when it does not violate Facebook's policies. Posts and accounts are deleted without enough administrative co-operation with those reported.

For instance, Facebook can demand offending content be removed, but not actually state what the content is. The reporting process lacks transparency and engagement and can be too automated.

Facebook's stance against abusing community standards is commendable, but the reporting system is flawed because it weighs in favour of the claimant over the accused. This petition is intended to restore the balance between and afford each party equal rights. This cause is important to protect users against bullies, oppressive regimes and general abuse.
