The FAA is currently working on a timeline of options to relieve jet noise in Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, and San Mateo Counties. There are dozens of fixes they are analyzing, one of which is to move an eastern path called SERFR to a new path (as yet unnamed) over a legacy ground track called BSR (BIGSUR) negatively impacting our communities from Santa Cruz through the San Lorenzo Valley and Scotts Valley and north towards SFO.
An important criteria for the FAA is whether the communities to be impacted are in agreement or not. We need to get word to the FAA this week, that the communities are NOT in agreement.
Using the FAA email list below, please write a short, polite email indicating that our communities are not in agreement and that we oppose any flight path shift.
michael.huerta@faa.gov, glen.martin@faa.gov, dennis.roberts@faa.gov, steve.may@faa.gov, steve.karnes@faa.gov, mindy.wright@faa.gov
When emailing the FAA, use a variation of the subject line: SERFR, DAVYJ, BSR - communities are NOT in agreement
