We send our sincerest gratitude to all of you who supported this. Together we got the SMART bus hours extended for the month of August to be in line with regular transit hours. However, this is only a band-aid solution and we require all of you who use this service, have loved ones who use this service, or just in general understand the people with disabilities deserve the same rights and freedoms as everyone else, to keep asking council to improve transit for people with disabilities. The Transit Master Plan will be reviewed in the fall and that is where we can make a meaningful and lasting change to ensure all people can travel through and around the region!
