Unfortunately, Sydney Trains experienced an outage yesterday; not the first and definitely not the last.

Whether and how can such incidents be avoided is an important question but having multiple modes of transport to get around should be a given!

There were many people who were around Parramatta who wanted to get into Sydney or further out west, and vice versa. Unfortunately they couldn't as no fixed rail line connection exists between the North and the West. 

Imagine if the Parramatta Light Rail went all the way to Epping Metro Station? It would give some people an option to get closer to their destination.

The 4 kilometre Light Rail link between Carlingford and Epping Metro Station is more important than ever.
