I've had some awesome folks reaching out asking what they can do to help Bossier Arts Council - BAC both day to day and ahead of the City Council meeting this Tuesday at 3pm so I came up with a handy dandy guide:
HOW YOU CAN HELP SUPPORT THE BOSSIER ARTS COUNCIL
1. Sign & Share the Petition (or just share this post so they get alllll the info lol)
Every signature matters. Share it to your page, your stories, your group chats. Momentum matters. Please. https://c.org/VhW6qvBDvP
2. Attend City Council Meeting
A room full of supporters speaks volumes. Your physical presence shows our leaders that the arts are not optional — they are essential. This current issue will be voted on at the next meeting this Tuesday, March 3rd at 3pm at 620 Benton Road City Council Chambers.
3. Email & Call Council Members
Kind, respectful messages make a difference. Share how BAC has personally impacted you or your family. Bossier City, Louisiana is our partner, not our enemy. Please don't lose sight of that. 🩷 https://www.bossiercity.org/251/City-Council
4. Spread the Word
Not everyone sees every post. Talk about it. Share articles. Invite others to learn what’s happening.
5. Become a member of BAC
Become a member and join a bold, creative community that believes in the life-changing power of the arts. https://bossierarts.org/membership
6. Donate if You’re Able
Regardless of how the meeting goes, the Bossier Arts Council will remain your arts council. Every dollar donated will continue helping sustain programming, education, and accessibility for our community. https://bossierarts.org/donate
The Bossier Arts Council isn’t just a building at 630 Barksdale.
It’s 45 years of creativity.
It’s confidence built in children.
It's acceptance of the community.
It’s opportunity.
It’s connection.
It’s home.
We don’t reduce access to art in a growing city — we protect it.
Let’s show up. Let’s speak up. Let’s stand together with the city with which we share a name.
