Thanks for signing our petition to request an extension to the Exhibition Period of the Proposed Local Planning Scheme from Kingborough Council.

I have sent letters to the CEO Kingborough Council, the Executive Commissioner of the Tasmanian Planning Commission and the Minister for Housing, Planning and Consumer Affairs. The CEO and Ministers Office have responded that they will be in touch when they have sought some advice. 

In the first 24 hours, our petition has received 132 signatures. This is equivalent to over 10% of the Bruny Island population, but we need to do more!

It would be great to see this number double over the next few days, and triple before our deadline of Friday 22 November. If you can help by speaking with your neighbours, friends and community about signing we can really send a message. 

We need more time to really understand the proposed changes, and to make effective representations for the future we want to see for Bruny.
