Loads of Support for Mary E Stepney

Wow! Support for Mary E Stepney's petition keeps flowing in. Heartfelt thanks to all those who have read the petition and wanted to help. The last flyers Simon had printed out were maildropped to local people, and lots have responded. Thanks so much!
So far, we have gathered 185 signatures online. We're about finished with Spain—53 people who know Simon's situation have already shown their support, demonstrating his ties to his country of residence.
In the USA, we have 125 signatures: PA and NY 93, other states 32. Other countries gave the remaining 7 signatures. We have people all over the world!
But apart from the online signatures, we have 38 manual signatures from the Methodist Church group in Roseville PA, just down the hill from Mary's farm. That makes 223 in all. So, thanks to everyone, but enough of maths...
We have two new developments:
In Spain, where Simon normally lives, we have an appointment at the US Embassy for April 3 after submitted an application for a B1/B2 visa. Simon is preparing documents for this interview, and hopefully, after a week, he'll have his visa, and will be able to return. While he's away, Mary will be cared for by her normal team of caregivers.
On the domestic front, there's no news from Immigration (USCIS) yet, for an application filed last October.
However, Congressman Glenn "GT" Thompson's office is writing a Letter of Support for Mary E Stepney and Simon to be sent directly to the US Embassy. This is absolutely wonderful, and we thank the Congressman and his staff for their concern and efficiency!
Every one of your signatures counts—friends, acquaintances, neighbors, and good people—as Simon will take a printout of the Petition to the US Embassy in case they need to see how much local support Mary Stepney has for staying on her farm and having her son oversee her home care.
A few comments received:
Spain: "I believe that a son or daughter should be allowed to care personally for their very elderly and ailing parent."
Canada: "This is very important for the care of US citizens. They need their family around them."
PA: "We don't understand how the government can separate a mother from her son this way. It's not right."
So again, all the best to everyone.
And to Spain, ¡Muchas gracias a todos!
