Hello everyone,

I wanted to share an important update and express my gratitude on behalf of Sandy. Thanks to your support, she has successfully moved into a new apartment on the NMSU campus! The 359 signatures on this petition played a crucial role in extending deadlines (and making real “friends” at the property management office in the process—her words!), ultimately making it possible for her to secure housing.

But beyond helping Sandy, this petition has also brought much-needed attention to the broader issue of affordable housing in New Mexico. Multiple bills are now making their way through the legislature, and conversations with local elected officials are gaining momentum. The awareness raised through this petition has contributed in small but meaningful ways to these ongoing efforts.

So, as this petition comes to a close, the fight for affordable housing continues.
