Thanks to your support and taking action, the appeal to expel Cuba from the UN Human Rights Council has amassed over 100 petitioners. Please share this petition with others.

The situation in Cuba remains dire and is worsening on the human rights front, with predetermined political show "trials" continuing to mete out up to 30-year prison sentences for nonviolently protesting this past summer.

On April 7, 2022, it was learned that Cuban prosecutors are seeking “prison terms of seven and 10 years for dissident artists Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara (age 34) and Maykel Castillo (age 39), who have both already spent months in jail.” Both Luis Manuel Otero Alcantara and Maykel Castillo “Osorbo” are Amnesty International prisoners of conscience and members of the San Isidro Movement. They should never have been detained in the first place.
