

Our Snus continues to be held at Philadelphia customs. I am writing an email to the FDA Ombudsman for tobacco products. This level of delay is unacceptable for a simple Snus shipment. Here is the text of what I will be sending - feel free to send a copy as well.

Dear Ombudsman Hurley,
I ordered a package of Swedish Snus tobacco nearly a month ago. This product which I enjoy and has helped me quit smoking is not widely available in the United States. Studies have shown that Snus is an effective harm reduction tool. Yet my package has been held up for weeks in customs at the Philadelphia location. I would greatly appreciate if you could look into why these shipments face so many hurdles and how reasonable customs inspection timelines can be re-established. If you are not the best contact for this request, please forward this to the appropriate department.
