Dear Families,

 I want to express my heartfelt thanks for your support in signing the petition. Your involvement has been crucial in our efforts to advocate for the community’s needs.

 I would like to provide you with an update following our recent communication with the Council. Over the phone, they have indicated their intention to reject our application due to concerns about the adjoining road into the neighbouring development site not being completed. As you may be aware, construction within the development site (40+ Homes)  has not yet begun and is estimated to a significant amount of time to complete. It also does not affect our operation as it is all fenced off and has different access that that of the Child care.

 We have proposed a solution to the Council: when the time comes for the adjoining road to be connected to the centre, we are willing to close the centre for a few days to allow the roadwork to proceed safely. Unfortunately, the Council has not been receptive to this option.

 Given the situation, I encourage each of you to personally write to the people responsible for handling this application, Jenny Tattam and Luke Willcox.
