Correction; Townsend charged with rape of a white women in 1980 sentenced to life  later released after twenty five years was  subsequently resentenced to life in prison on a parole violation the charge allegedly is that he 

absconded from parole and was on drugs which is why he was  arrested and re sentenced to life in prison awaiting the possibility of another parole hearing. Due to the systematic racism in the south Townsend has been waiting for over a decade. I'm having to announce that he is up for parole board and he will be reunited with his loving mother whose dying wish was to see her son one more time
