It's been a while since I've given an update. Thankfully because i self-referred for a mammogram, I have had my mastectomy and am now on medication.
You may recall that I'm promoting my petition to make over-70s aware they can and must self-refer to NHS mammograms. The petition now has 77,479 signatures https://c.org/q9kVG6LCyS
Many messages saying how grateful they are and some, sadly, saying if they'd only known, their cancer would have been found before it had metastatised.
The numbers went up after an interview with Channel 5News https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19QR3zE37V/
I was also interviewed by a journalist from Take A Break magazine. The article appears in this month's issue and, hopefully, more signatures will be forthcoming.
I'm very grateful to everyone who has signed but we need more to get it to Parliament or Number 10. Can you please share again on Facebook/all the other social media platforms/your MP? Promoting this petition is definitely helping save lives - the messages received confirms this!
Best wishes Carol x
