Born of an archaic ideology perhaps, our hateful human history repeats itself with every new generation, and is evidence of what is clearly a mental health crisis that will likely not end on its own and leave humanity intact!

Disregard for the obviously necessary and thorough evaluation of the mental fitness of a person before authorizing them to handle delicate situations and/or entrusting them with serious responsibilities is alarming!

Diligently looking at societal standards and structure, and assessing their potential for having adverse affects on the human psyche and humans in general will shed light on what has been kept in the shadows for so long!
