My grandfather didn’t speak often about his life - believe me I asked. In this photo, Claude Harvard, is shown with other members of the Ford Trade School student Radio Club.

• He was the president.
• He was the only student to earn his FCC license.
• His accomplishment meant the school could operate a ration station.

His time as Radio Club President was one of the few stories my grandfather told with enthusiasm. The first time my grandfather described his time at the trade school and company as being like “Alice in Wonderland” - I was young. I did not get get. I get it now.
