I started this petition in order to help not only the animals of the planet but ourselves. Recently McDonalds changed from plastic to paper straws, and I think that’s awesome. However, a few weeks later I saw a petition to bring back the plastic straws (even though we know they destroy the ocean and essentially the planet). Then I saw a video from a bloke who was annoyed about not being able to enjoy his Diet Coke, and that it was stupid that he had to use a paper straw when the lid of the drink was plastic. It made me think, instead of counter arguing using paper straws and plastic lids, why not petition to make all fast food chains use environmentally friendly lids for their drinks?
