Every Vote Matters Hawaii

The Issue

We call on the Office of Elections for the State of Hawaiʻi to conduct a hand recount of all ballots cast in the 2018 General Election for Honolulu City Council District 4.

Only 22 votes (or about .06%) separated the two candidates.  Voters need to be reassured that an accurate count has been made.  The system is not perfect, and there could have been errors.

We believe that a hand recount of all ballots cast is the best way to maintain public trust in the ultimate election outcome and to show that every vote matters!
