Disregarding the wave of protest and public outcry following the road crash which took the life of an elephant in Spain, Circo Gottani is now back on the road with the surviving elephants. The four elephants arrived to Xátiva (Valencia) last Thursday to join the circus. It is unknown what the future plans of the circus are or whether the elephants will remain in Spain or will be taken to another country.
Fortunately there were no incidents this time, but the fact that the circus continues travelling with the elephants in very similar conditions is a reminder that public safety and animal welfare risks will be compromised until the use of wild animals in travelling circuses is banned across Europe.
Over 520.000 people like you have already signed our petition urging the European Commission to end this cruel and dangerous business. We won’t stop until Commissioner Andriukaitis receives us and hears Europe’s voice: NO TO CIRCUSES WITH WILD ANIMALS.
Please share this shocking video together with a link to our petition and help us reach our goal.
