Dear supporters,
after our first day in Strasbourg we already came to draw a very positive conclusion. Today will be the second vote on the copyright reform in the digital domestic market in the EU.
Yesterday hip hop musician Wyclef Jean surprisingly even told the parliamentarians to consider voting against uploadfilters, even if in theory he could profit from them.
Also Wikipedia showed solidarity to all fellows fighting the new copyright laws. Even if it would'nt affect Wikipedia in the first place, they still see the freedom of information and speech in danger, not only on their site.
On site we already talked to many parliamentarians about the consequences of potential upload filters. Also we talked about the perfomance protection law after Article 11 of the original bill and explained the error susceptebility of it.
Sadly we still didn't reach the one million signature mark yet, but we are very close now. That's why you should convince your friends to sign the petition!
