Internet freedom is what our online community is built upon. Copyright laws are already quite strict in the EU, which makes individual creators' lives hard. Article 13, as it's currently defined threatens the idea of "safe harbour". This means that media platforms will get punished for copyright violations instead of only the individual creators. As a result of this, platforms such as youtube, twitter and instagram will have to restrict enormous parts of their content inside the EU to protect themselves.
