Last December, parents Justine and Kai told their story to RTL News for the first time. “My son deserved help, not police bullets,” Mother Justine expressed the feelings. His parents suspect that the use of cannabis has turned Sammy crazy. “He was a very sweet, good boy. He was always there for people and was never aggressive. He was very sporty and never used drugs.”
False statements
Richard Korver assists the parents as a lawyer. Korver announced today that he has filed a complaint on behalf of the parents against police chief Paauw.
The reason is that Paauw two days after the deadly shooting in Het Parool has said that “an officer was stabbed by the suspect in his vest with a knife”. According to Korver, the police chief has spoken out of his turn and this is not in line with the investigation conducted by the National Police into the fatal shooting.
